Status Homes have a great range of home designs that have been previously built and perfected. These designs can be customised to suit each individual client’s needs – as we appreciate that one size does not fit all when it comes to finetuning the features of a home. We offer a Custom Design process for clients with a more specific concept, involving both Sam & our Draftsman who offer experience-based guidance and suggestions throughout the process. Alternatively, If you have worked with an independent draftsman on creating your dream home, we are happy to quote on independent plans. These plans must have been drawn by an independent draftsman.


Ballarat is fortunate to have so many reputable building companies within our City. One of our points of difference is that we are a family owned and operated business, rather than a franchise. As a small business with fewer overheads, we are capable of offering client-to-builder contact in lieu of salespeople and client liaisons. This makes for a very comfortable building experience, where clients have the same contact throughout the entire process of the build. We also believe that operating this way eliminates the provision for errors, as the process of building your new home is not treated like a file passed from person to person. Instead you are guided through the process by Sam with the support of the Status team.


Generally speaking, there is usually approximately 3 months of liaising and paperwork necessary before getting to site as a standard. This time includes the design process, quoting, contracts and the building permit application. In some instances, however, increased wait times may apply for new enquiries to get to site. This timeframe can easily be predicted and will differ between each client depending on various circumstances. We limit the amount of homes that we have on site at any one time so that our standards can be maintained. New enquiries are always welcomed, we ask that you provide us with as much detail as possible in your initial enquiry so that we can advise an informed estimate on timeframe.


From the beginning of the process, right up until the end – Sam is your first point of contact involved in every step of the way. Dedicated to establishing an open line of communication, Sam is ready to answer your calls and emails, as well as making regular appointments along the way to keep you informed with new developments and progress. The Status team work collaboratively on the process of constructing your new home and Sam is supported by a team of professionals who are involved in the process of bringing your home to completion from our crew of carpenters to our office staff as well as our team of local & experienced Sub-Contractors.
